The Veenocks factory
Every Veramis tile is made at the Veenocks factory in Ogun State, Nigeria. The plant sits on a 10 hectare site and made its first tiles in January 2026. We built it to make tiles of European quality here in Nigeria.
How the tiles are made
Spray dryer: The spray dryer turns the raw porcelain mix into the fine powder that is pressed into tiles.
Dryer: Freshly pressed tiles pass through a multi level dryer before glazing and printing.
Kiln: The roller kiln fires every tile at high temperature, which gives porcelain its density and strength.
Handling: Automated handling moves tiles along the line to quality control and packing.
The line runs 24 hours a day and makes up to 10,000 square metres of tile a day. Designs are applied with digital printing. Automated quality control checks every tile for size, colour and appearance before it is sorted by calibre and shade and packed. Every Veramis tile is made to ISO 13006:2018, group BIa, the porcelain class.
Built to grow
The factory was developed with the support of Afreximbank as part of a US$117 million investment. Phase 2 is now under way. It adds two more production lines and takes capacity to 6.6 million square metres a year, with completion expected in 2028. It also brings a polished finish to the range. More than 200 people work at the factory, and 95 percent of them are Nigerian.
